LifeROOTS, the Central New Mexico not-for-profit organization providing a broad range of programs and services for children and adults with disabilities, will be launching a new, larger state-of-the-art facility in Rio Rancho.  The expanded new LifeROOTS Rio Rancholocation, located at 1909 29th Street SE, will enable LifeROOTS to offer enhanced  programs and services to individuals with disabilities throughout the region, and will be an important new resource for those with disabilities and their families in the Rio Rancho area.

To celebrate the opening of the new Rio Rancho location, and to give the community an opportunity to see the wide range of programs and services now available at the Rio Rancho location, LifeROOTS will be holding a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House on Thursday, April 27th.   The Ribbon Cutting/Open House will take place from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., and will be attended by Mayor Gregg Hull and other local community leaders.

In addition to presentations and proclamations by the Mayor and other dignitaries, the LifeROOTS Rio Rancho Ribbon Cutting/Open House will feature tours of the spacious new facility and the opportunity to meet with LifeROOTS staff, clients and families to learn more about what LifeROOTS offers children and adults with disabilities. LifeROOTS has three main divisions:  its Children’s Therapy and Services division includes Early intervention programs and services for children and their families; its Adult Services division includes a day habilitation program, job coaching, literacy programs and career discovery; and its Business Contract Services division seeks to place individuals with disabilities in appropriate, inclusive work environments – offering quality contract and business services to the region’s government and commercial industries consisting of a disabled and committed workforce.

Attendees at the LifeROOTS Rio Rancho Ribbon Cutting/Open House will also have the opportunity to participate in LifeROOTS unique “Throw a Pie in the Face of Management” event – raising money by throwing a pie in the face of some of the community’s top business leaders.  In addition, they’ll be able to sample an assortment of delicious pies, as well as complimentary food and beverages.  The Open House, which is free, offers the community an important “first look” into the many resources for those with disabilities which are now available in Rio Rancho.
